Guidelines for all non-profit groups seeking the donation or auction of alcohol

The state of Colorado Liquor Code restricts the presence of non-controlled alcohol on a licenses premise. If you have any questions, please call (303) 778-0916 for clarification. Thank you.

  1. Alcoholic beverages must be accompanied by an original invoice from the manufacturer or distributor only. Liquor stores or private donors are not accepted.
  2. The invoice must be made out to Michael’s of Denver, Inc. and have a zero balance. The invoice is due with the delivery, not after. Deliveries accepted at least 24 hours in advance.
  3. Any returned alcohol must be picked up by the original distributor or manufacturer only, at their expense within 48 hours after your event.
  4. No unauthorized alcohol of any kind will be allowed inside of the building. If an invoice does not accompany the delivery, we will refuse entry at the door.
  5. There is a $7.00 per guest Service Fee to provide ice, glassware, napkins, mixers, soft drinks, and bar fruit. We do not charge a corkage fee.
  6. Donated liquor may not be resold by the drink. It is to be used only at your non-profit event, given to your ticketed guests. Bottle service is not permitted.
  7. There is a bar set up fee of $100 per 100 guests to provide the servers, bar and linen.
